We believe in providing our residents with a person centred approach to their care needs, which values them as people, respects their wishes and has an understanding of what is important to them. We work hard at involving our residents in the individual planning of their care, which is regularly monitored and updated. With our support residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and to lead a full and active lifestyle as possible in a safe caring environment.
We provide 24hr nursing care through our team of experienced registered nurses and care staff. Medical services to both homes are provided by local GP practices - Hempnall and Saxlingham surgeries for Saxlingham Hall and Diss Health Centre for Walcot. Other specialist healthcare practitioners also regularly call at both nursing homes.
Residents can relax in our comfortable sitting rooms where they can meet for coffee or watch television and enjoy the outstanding view of the grounds and surrounding countryside at both homes. We welcome the families and friends of residents to the home at any time and support residents in maintaining these links.
We provide a range of recreational activities specially tailored to meet resident’s expectations and also seek to maintain religious and spiritual links for our residents by providing them with the opportunity to attend or receive a communion service once a month within the home. Contact with other denominations locally can also be arranged and a local network of visits or lifts to church is in place.
We can also offer regular visits by a Chiropodist and a Hairdresser.
Meals are an important part of the day and we aim to make them special every time. Our food is mainly sourced from fresh local producers and our cooks prepare and provide a wide range of nutritious and well balanced meals each day. We ensure that all dietary requirements and personal wishes are catered to.
Our fees are dependent on the level of care, type of accommodation and length of stay a resident is requiring. Fees include 24 hour nursing care, accommodation, full board and laundry. Please contact either of our homes for more details on fees and the cost of any extra services we offer.
